About the Event
Join the Geneva Human Rights Commission during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month for a Monday night screening of the 2017 documentary "They Came For Us" (50 min). A facilitated community conversation will follow around the topic of the Japanese internment camps that imprisoned Asian Americans before, during, & after WWII, how social prejudice affected individuals & families even after being released, and themes of imprisonment happening in our current day lives. Dinner from a local Asian Restaurant will be provided so please RSVP if you can, so we can have enough food for everyone to enjoy!
